From Dog Dementia to Thriving:Teddy's Ongoing Wellness Journey

Teddy's owner knew something wasn't right. What followed was a journey that changed how she thinks about her dog's health - and it all started with a scan.

Imagine watching your dog lose his mind every single night. Not a little restless - truly distressed. Digging at the floor so frantically and persistently that you have to cover every inch of your carpet in cushions just to protect it. Running at closed doors. Hiding under the bed, trembling. This went on for a year.

Teddy's owner didn't ignore it. She took him straight to her vet, who suggested it could be canine cognitive dysfunction (CCD) - sometimes called dog dementia - a condition that causes older dogs to become disoriented, anxious, and behaviourally distressed, particularly after dark. She followed the advice. She tried what was offered. And after twelve months, the honest answer from her vet was that there wasn't a great deal more conventional medicine could do for him.

It was around this time that she reached out to us - not initially about a full wellness programme, but as a customer of MicroMed, our naturopathic nutrition brand. She had been researching the connection between gut health and brain function, and was enquiring about probiotic support for Teddy, instinctively understanding that a healthier microbiome might help his cognitive picture. During that email conversation, the fuller story of what she had been going through emerged. The picture she described made it clear that there were deep, chronic patterns at work that deserved a proper energetic assessment. We suggested enrolling Teddy in a programme through Pure Harmonics Pet Wellness Clinic, combining bioresonance scanning, targeted meta therapy, and carefully selected nutritional support to begin addressing what conventional treatment had been unable to resolve.

What followed was a genuine transformation. Session by session, the picture shifted. The frantic digging stopped. The door-running stopped. The hiding stopped. Teddy's owner describes it simply: "He's back to himself - and then some."

The transformation in Teddy was amazing. I really thought I was losing him and had started trying to mentally prepare for this. I didn’t see how he would ever recover. We’re still not out of the woods completely but he has a new lease on life, enjoying his walks again, his appetite is good, he is back to his lovely self. Thanks so much to Maria and her enthusiasm and devotion to her work - I have Teddy back."

That was then. Fast forward to today - and Teddy is thriving. The cognitive dysfunction picture has resolved. But as any integrative practitioner will tell you, resolving the visible symptoms is only the beginning. The tissue-level patterns that accumulate during a prolonged health crisis don't simply disappear when the symptoms do. This is why Teddy remains on an ongoing wellness programme - and why today's session tells such a compelling story.

Understanding What Was Happening: Canine Cognitive Dysfunction

Canine cognitive dysfunction (CCD) - sometimes called dog dementia - is not simply a behavioural problem. From a bioresonance perspective, the prolonged disorientation, restlessness, and nighttime confusion that characterised Teddy's worst period reflected a deep disruption to his circadian rhythm: the internal body clock that governs sleep, hormone regulation, immune repair, and the health of virtually every tissue in the body.

The overnight period is when the body carries out the majority of its cellular repair work - and crucially, it is when the brain's own waste-clearance system, known as the glymphatic system, flushes out the toxins and metabolic debris that accumulate during waking hours. Think of it as the brain's overnight cleaning crew. In Teddy's case, the circadian disruption caused by his cognitive dysfunction meant this vital process was not happening optimally - night after night, the cleaning crew wasn't showing up, and the biological cost of that was accumulating in his brain and surrounding tissues. The nervous system, the brain membranes, and the body's ability to regulate blood flow to its tissues all carry that strain long after the visible symptoms resolve.

"The scan doesn't just tell us what is symptomatic today - it reveals the energetic history of a tissue, and how long it has been asking for support."

Through a programme of remote Petscan sessions, targeted meta therapy, and carefully selected nutritional support, Teddy's cognitive dysfunction picture improved significantly - and eventually resolved. That resolution is a genuine success. But it also left a tissue-level legacy that today's session is now addressing.

Today's Session: When the Ears Aren't the Problem

At Teddy's most recent session, his owner had noticed him shaking his head and showing signs of throat discomfort. Her instinct - entirely reasonable - was that his ears might be the issue. But this is where bioresonance scanning offers something no standard ear examination can: it doesn't just look at the presenting symptom, it reads the energetic state of every tissue system in the body simultaneously.

The scan showed Teddy's ear structures themselves were not flagging as a primary concern. What it did reveal was a pattern of chronic stress running through his upper airway mucous lining - the continuous protective gel-like coating that runs from the back of the throat, through the airways, and down into the digestive system. When this lining is under strain, pressure builds in the area at the very back of the throat where it connects to the nasal passages - think of it as the junction between the nose, throat, and the tube that leads to the middle ear. When drainage through that junction is sluggish, it creates a sensation of fullness or mild pressure that refers directly to the ear, producing exactly the head-shaking behaviour Teddy's owner had described. Same symptom. Very different source. And therefore, a very different solution.

Clinical note

This pattern - owner reporting ear symptoms, scan revealing healthy ear structures but chronic mucous gland and airway lining findings - is seen consistently across canine cases at Pure Harmonics. It is one of the most common examples of how surface symptoms point to deeper systemic patterns that only energetic scanning can reveal.

What the Scan Found: The Bigger Picture

Teddy's scan this session identified three interconnected threads of chronic tissue stress - each linked to the others, and all ultimately connected to a single root finding: vascular dystonia at a critically low reading. This is a measure of the body's ability to regulate its own blood vessel tone. When this regulatory capacity is depleted, every tissue that depends on reliable blood supply begins to show strain over time.

The findings spanned the mucosal lining of the airways and stomach, the brain membranes and white matter - the brain's internal communication network, the tissue that carries signals between different regions, much like the wiring behind the walls of a house - the vessel walls from large arteries down to the finest capillaries, and the nerve bundles running through the upper body. This is not an alarming picture - it is the kind of multi-system, low-grade strain that develops silently in dogs who have carried a chronic health burden without targeted support. It shows up on bioresonance scanning long before it would appear in blood work or a standard veterinary examination.

Meta Therapy Results: One Session, Significant Shifts

Following ten rounds of meta therapy - a process in which the Petscan system delivers corrective frequencies back to each tissue in turn - the majority of Teddy's chronic findings shifted meaningfully within a single session, with several key tissues moving all the way from "chronic" to "outside of normal" in one go.

The tissues that didn't fully clear in one session - particularly the brain's white matter and the mucous lining - are not failures. They are the deepest-seated findings, carrying the longest history of strain. They respond to consistent, layered support across multiple sessions, and their gradual improvement is entirely expected and on track. Teddy's owner was glad she had enrolled him in the Comprehensive Coaching programme - Pure Harmonics' three-month family concession package with twice-weekly sessions - because it is precisely this kind of deep, cumulative tissue work that benefits most from a committed, regular schedule rather than one-off appointments.

The Power of Preventative Care

Teddy's journey illustrates something that is central to the philosophy at Pure Harmonics: the best time to address a health pattern is before it becomes a health crisis. The findings on today's scan - the vascular dystonia, the neural membrane strain, the mucosal lining picture - would not have triggered concern in a standard veterinary visit. Blood panels would likely have appeared unremarkable. Yet these patterns, addressed now through bioresonance and nutritional support, are far simpler to resolve than they would be if left to develop into a structural or degenerative condition.

Dogs on a regular preventative bioresonance programme are scanned at consistent intervals. Patterns that are beginning to develop are caught and addressed in their early energetic stage. The cumulative effect is a dog whose system rarely reaches the point of acute illness - because the imbalances that precede illness are being systematically resolved.

For Teddy, that means a dog who is currently doing well by every observable measure, whose serious symptom picture from his canine cognitive dysfunction period has resolved, and who is now being supported through a quieter but equally important phase: rebuilding the underlying tissue resilience that his earlier health challenges depleted.

Remote Care: Effective Wherever You Are in New Zealand

Teddy's owner lives in Whangarei. Pure Harmonics is based in Snells Beach, Mahurangi. Every session, every scan, every meta therapy programme, and every follow-up conversation has been conducted entirely remotely. Distance is not a barrier to bioresonance care - the Petscan system works energetically, and results are communicated through detailed written reports and direct practitioner contact.

If you are based in Northland, the Waikato, the Bay of Plenty, the South Island, or anywhere else in New Zealand - Teddy's story is your story too. Your dog's health doesn't need to wait for a local appointment.
